Wise Steps

Wise Steps helps people in Tyne and Wear to change their lives through work. With funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund, they are supporting us in order to provide you with one-to-one advice, training and support to help you make those first positive steps towards work.

ELSE - ESOL Learner to Salary Earner

ELSE helps people in Newcastle to expand their knowledge in sector specific ESOL and supports them towards employment, volunteering and placements. This project is provided in collaboration with Your Homes Newcastle.

Plan it with JET

Plan-it is a routeway map project to employment. It consists of all-round routeway maps for care, administration, warehousing, customer service and hospitality and catering, in Newcastle upon Tyne. Each sector-map consists of any kind of information people interested in the sector could use, such as necessary lever of English, qualifications, training, training sources and many more.

National Careers Service offers tailored help with one of our career advisors. The advisors are professionally qualified to help you make the right choices about learning and work. 

They can also help you to open a Lifelong Learning Account, which you can use whenever you need to update your skills.

Pathways Employment & Wellbeing Newcastle

Pathways Employment & Wellbeing Newcastle, is a Mental Health Matters (MHM) project which aims to support clients to develop strategies to improve their mental health and wellbeing and secure or sustain employment.

The service is being delivered in partnership with us at JET. Our advisor has specialised experience in supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds to integrate within the community.
