Connect to Work

Start Work. Stay Supported.

JET is proud to deliver Connect to Work in Newcastle as a delivery partner of Groundwork North East & Cumbria. Connect to Work is a free, voluntary employment programme that brings together jobseekers, employers and specialist support to help people overcome barriers to employment and build lasting careers.

Our dedicated Employment Specialists work one-to-one with participants to understand their goals, identify the right opportunities and provide ongoing support before and after they start work.

At the same time, we work closely with local employers to match them with motivated candidates, offer continued in-work support and help create inclusive, sustainable employment opportunities for everyone.

About Connect to Work

Connect to Work is a government-funded employment programme that helps people move into sustainable employment through personalised, one-to-one support.

Delivered using the proven Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, the programme focuses on helping people find the right job first, before providing ongoing support to help them succeed and remain in work.

At JET, we specialise in delivering this support to people living in Newcastle, with particular expertise in supporting refugees and people facing additional barriers to employment. We work closely with employers and partner organisations to ensure participants receive the support they need before, during and after starting work.
