Case Study

Benito Mwanza above was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and moved to Austria in 1998. Benito spent 12 months in the army as part of his naturalisation there. He then later moved to the UK and registered with JET in December 2005.

Yunis Hasaballa

Yunis HasaballaThis is JET volunteer Yunis Hasaballa from Sudan.
He came to JET keen to learn new skills, and so he first attended the ESOL for Jobs course with us. He has also done voluntary work for IKEA, and for Community Connections.

He has completed his NVQ in Interpreting, and another NVQ in Administration while volunteering in our office helping with admin duties. In 2006 Yunis completed JET's Video Project course, adding to the many skills he has acquired during his time with us.

Yunis is currently studying at Newcastle College, working on 3 Higher Education Foundation Courses. He has also been offered conditional places at 2 Universities.

Yunis is a very reliable worker and a keen learner, who makes a real contribution in the JET office!
