Mandana Mashayekhi Goyonloo

Mandana (Mandana Mashayekhi Goyonloo)I am originally from Iran and my native language is Farsi (Persian). I have worked as an English teacher (beginner and intermediate levels) and freelance interpreter for eight years (1999-2007) in Iran. I have studied English literature (BA) in Tehran University and completed a short course in English in London. I have been in Newcastle since December 2008. I participated in JET summer course which was quite helpful and currently I am an assistant teacher for NERS (North East Refugee Service). I am deeply happy that I can use my experience as a teacher again. Being a volunteer ESOL teacher for jet along with the teacher training course which I am going to start in September, will help me to take my first steps towards being a professional teacher in Newcastle. Since my residence in Newcastle, JET has greatly helped me and now I am proud that I will be part of this team.
