Susan Zichawo

Massimla AniteuI moved to the UK in April 2008, having previously worked as a teacher in my home country. I wanted to find a new job that would be challenging, that would teach me new skills as well as allowing me to put my existing knowledge to good use.

I came to JET for advice and decided to take Edgar’s Aspirational Training programme. This helped me a lot, improving my confidence and my approach to job interviews, as well as teaching me about UK culture and providing me with an opportunity to make new friends. When I was invited for interview at Nexus for an admin and retail position, I used the skills and confidence I had gained on the course to help me through, and I’m pleased to tell you that I got the job! In the future I’d like to go back into teaching, but at the moment I’m happy to have found my first job in Britain.

JET helped me a lot, enhancing my social skills and changing my approach to people in this country.
