Yunis Hasaballa from Sudan is a JET Volunteer.

He came to JET keen to learn new skills, and so he first attended the ESOL for Jobs course with us. He has also done voluntary work for IKEA, and for Community Connections.

Debbie Booth

Deborah works for the North of England Refugee Service (NERS), working with asylum seekers, refugees and migrants to enable them to build on their personal skills, education experience and self confidence and to support them to build for a positive future in the UK.

Previous to this she worked in India on a research project investigating Punjabi Diaspora and a development project for Bonded Labourers in the Brick Kiln Industry. She has also worked with the Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities in the North East researching their experience of education. She also has an MSc in Development Management.
