• Have you ever wanted to learn to ride a bike?
• Is it too expensive to rely on car/bus/metro?
• Do you want to learn how to cycle safely around the city, plan your routes and spend some quality time outdoors?
With our new programme you will learn how to cycle and how to plan your cycling routes.
At the end of the programme you will receive FREE bike, helmet and bike lock!
The scheme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF, via Newcastle Science City), and brings together three local partners JET, Recyke Y’Bike and Northumbria University. The three organisations will promote active travel and independent living skills through cycling.
So far we have a women only group running at Wingrove Primary School on Thursday mornings, and a group running at Excelsior Academy on Tuesday afternoons. There will be one more group starting in the New Year. If you are interested in taking part give JET a call.

I would highly recommend JET to anyone not used working in the UK - they will give you all the support you need to find the right job. Although I am now busy with my work, I would definitely consider doing further courses at JET in the future. - Twayiba Moussa
